● Chaga supports overall well-being with potential immune function supporting properties. The neurotransmitters and natural compounds present in cacao could support elevated mood, memory function, and feelings of happiness.
● Cacao contains zinc and iron, which could support immune function and deliver oxygen to tissues, respectively.

Adaptogen Coffee

Hack Stress w/ Tulsi and Astragalus
Master stress and cut out the caffeinated jitters, so you can take on the demands of everyday life. However you spend your days, power up while keeping calm, cool, and collected with shade-grown organic coffee blended with tulsi and astragalus.
Tulsi is one of the great calm-promoting adaptogens out there, trusted and revered for centuries in Ayurveda. Tulsi has been known to uplift mood, support digestion, and promote balanced energy. Astragalus contains saponins, flavonoids, and polysaccharides. It’s because of these compounds that astragalus is considered to be a “longevity adaptogen”. Paired with antioxidant-rich coffee, it’s a match made in longevity heaven.

Lion’s Mane Matcha

If you’re looking to curb your daily coffee intake, matcha is a superb choice for the morning or afternoon. While matcha contains caffeine, it also contains L-theanine, a relaxing amino acid, resulting in a feeling of balanced energy for your whole body. There aren’t many drinks out there that can make you feel energetic, calm, and focused all at the same time, but Mushroom Matcha is pretty much, everyday magic!
In addition to the creative benefits associated with both ceremonial grade matcha and lion’s mane, this drink also includes the powerful adaptogen astragalus to protect your body from stress, and a hint of ginger to improve digestion and flavor.

Safety of Four Sigmatic products
According to toxicology reports, even apples can be toxic if you eat too many of them. Medicinal mushrooms, however, are so called non-toxic tonics (balancing or invigorating medicinal substances) that are recommended to be used throughout life. There are no side-effects when consumed even in high amounts and for long periods of time. Therefore, they are harmless. However, it is important to listen to your own body while using them as they are strong natural medicines.

Interactions and cautions
It’s not recommended to use these products with antibiotics, anticoagulant, diabetes drugs or intravenous glucose. The functioning of antibiotics can be distracted by mushrooms. Medicinal mushrooms are potent and support the body in blood circulation and blood sugar control problems. Hence, using them alongside particular drugs may have unexpected results. With these specific conditions, it is important to start slowly and incrementally increase the dosage.

Mushrooms and pregnancy
During pregnancy it is important to use caution and listen to the body when consuming strong natural herbs and mushrooms. This is also the case when using Four Sigmatic products. Traditionally, however, medicinal mushrooms have been used during pregnancy to support the mother’s health and energy levels. Some adaptogenic herbs should be totally fine for a pregnant woman, but some are known to enhance blood flow to the uterus. Please consult your healthcare professional if you have further concerns.

Allergic reactions
It is very uncommon for medicinal mushrooms to produce allergic reactions. So-called idiosyncratic (strongly individual) allergic reactions from using them are always theoretically possible. If in doubt, start slow and see how you feel.

It is naturally effervescent through the magic of fermentation, very low in sugar and rich in probiotics, live enzymes and antioxidants. It originated in China around 221 BC and was called the “Elixir of Life”. SCOBY metabolizes the sugar and tea to grow and transforms the liquid into a refreshing, slightly tangy beverage that has very low sugar and has only 25 calories per serving. In comparison, one can of soda contains 230 calories and 4x the amount of sugar.
This makes Bucha a delicious and healthy alternative to sugar loaded, heavy processed sodas and sports drinks. Baba’s Bucha is handcrafted in small batches using only fair trade organic ingredients and local seasonal produce. It is vegan, raw, gluten free and has no artificial flavorings or colors; brewed in glass, served in glass.

Almond Butter (Raw, Unpasteurized)
Made from whole, unpasteurized organic almonds from Europe, raw almond butter is truly a raw living food. In Ayurveda, an ancient system of health care that is native to the Indian subcontinent, almond is considered a nutritive for brain and nervous system. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, “symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.” Not only do chia seeds have the omega-3s your brain needs, they’re high in fiber and made up of 20% protein by weight. They’re also a good source of calcium, magnesium and iron. Omega-3s may also contribute to the maintenance of normal heart health, and they have been shown to help protect your cardiovascular system.

Coconut Oil
A true superfood, coconut oil is high in healthy saturated fats that have different effects than most other fats in your diet. These fats can boost fat burning and provide your body and brain with quick energy. They also raise the good HDL cholesterol in your blood, which is linked to reduced heart disease risk. Most fats in the diet are called long-chain triglycerides, but the fats in coconut oil are known as medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). What this means is that the fatty acids are shorter than most other fats. When you eat these types of fats, they go straight to the liver, where they are used as a quick source of energy or turned into ketones. Ketones can have powerful benefits for the brain.

The fatty acids in coconut oil can kill harmful pathogens, including bacteria, viruses and fungi. This could potentially help to prevent infections. They also can significantly reduce appetite, which may lead to reduced body weight over the long term.

Ghee is known as a substance that gives longevity, its elemental qualities balance the aging characteristics by enriching the living body. It has been used for centuries as a digestive and elimination aid, for energy, sexual vitality, skin and eye health, as a lubricant for the joints and for alkalizing the blood. The purity of ghee allows it to be deep penetrating and nourishing as it passes through the lipid membranes of cells.

Goji Berries
Goji berries, also known as wolfberries, are one of the most nutritionally-rich fruits on the planet. Praised for thousands of years in Asia for health benefits including longevity, vitality, and energy, goji berries are now being celebrated in Western cultures for their superfood potential. A good source of potassium, iron, and selenium, they also have B vitamins, calcium, zinc, fiber and even protein. In addition, goji berries are antioxidant rich and might help prevent or reduce free radical-related conditions. They also contain polysaccharides (long-chain sugars) which help stimulate our bodies to produce HGH. This is essential for retaining youth qualities because we naturally produce less and less, the older we get. Lastly, Gojis are known to increase libido. An ancient Chinese proverb says it all, warning men who travel far from their wives: “He who travels one thousand kilometers from home should not eat goji!”

Heirloom Pumpkin Seeds
Celebrated as a nutritional powerhouse, pumpkin seeds have been a part of the diet of many different cultures throughout the ages. One serving of pumpkin seeds contains nearly half of your recommended daily amount of magnesium, which contributes to the pumping of your heart and relaxation of your blood vessels. This helps regulate your blood pressure, which can even help improve your mood by helping you reach a calmer state. 80% of us don’t get enough magnesium, even though it’s vital to having a healthy heart.
Pumpkin seeds are also rich in Tryptophan (the culprit of the post-Thanksgiving dinner snooze). Tryptophan is an amino acid that your body converts into serotonin, which is then converted into melatonin – a.k.a. The Sleep Hormone. Serotonin can also help improve your mood, as it’s known for contributing to a feeling of well-being.
A rich source of zinc and iron, munching on pumpkin seeds can replenish your body’s level of these important minerals. Getting your daily intake of zinc is helpful in preventing a deficiency, which suppresses your immune function. Iron is responsible for carrying oxygen to your muscles and brain, affecting your mental and physical performance. If you don’t get enough iron in your diet, the decreased oxygen in your body can also weaken your immune system.

Hemp Protein
Hemp is known for its incredible versatility as an industrial crop, and its raw seeds have gained popularity as a heart-healthy superfood. By grinding the seeds into a fine powder, an excellent plant-based protein powder is able to be created perfect for vegan, vegetarian, or hypoallergenic lifestyles. At 50% protein by weight, hemp contains all nine essential amino acids along with important branched-chain amino acids. These amino acids help support healthy muscles and connective tissues and may help improve athletic performance and recovery. Unlike other vegan protein powders, hemp contains a high amount of dietary fiber as well as omega fatty acids. This makes hemp a unique source of support for muscles, heart, and digestive health. This easily-digestible, nutrient-dense protein powder is unlike any other!

Hemp Seeds
Hemp has been cultivated for millennia for fiber, clothing, paper, building materials, and of course, food. Rich in zinc and magnesium, which may contribute to healthy immune function and bone health, hemp seeds are also a good source of iron. Did you know that hemp seeds contain 36% protein, meaning that per serving, hemp has more protein than meat? Hemp is also one of very few plants that contains a proper balance of omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs) which the body can’t produce on its own. Omega-3s may contribute to the maintenance of mental and visual function, as well as normal heart health. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, “symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.”

Jungle Peanuts
What most people don’t know is that when they enjoy America’s favorite snack nut, they’re likely ingesting mold and a toxic substance known as aflatoxins, which are carcinogenic. These molds are caused by environmental factors such as growing, processing and/or storage conditions. These toxic substances are the likely reason behind rampant negative reactions to peanuts.

Wild jungle peanuts are naturally free of mold and aflatoxins. This is because these unique heirloom peanuts grow wild within the Amazonian rainforests, far away from civilization, where they have been a staple food of the Shuar people for hundreds of years. This is the true, original form of the peanut—as opposed to the more commonly grown peanuts that have been hybridized to contain higher amounts of oil and sugar than their wild counterparts.

A good source of magnesium, phosphorus and manganese, wild jungle peanuts contain all nine essential amino acids making them a source of complete protein.

Maca
Maca is a root vegetable grown in the Peruvian Andes. It was sacred to the Incas and has been used as a food and medicine in South America for centuries. Maca is an adaptogenic herb known for its ability to help support hormone balance, provide natural energy, increase athletic performance, and boost libido. In fact, Incan warriors would often consume maca before long journeys and battles. Today’s athletes are confirming what history has to say about this incredible superfood. Modern research has also shown that maca has the potential to alleviate perimenopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweating, interrupted sleep patterns, nervousness, depression and heart palpitations.

Matcha Green Tea
Matcha Powder is a unique type of tea made from whole Japanese green tea leaves. Before harvest, the plant is kept shaded from the sun. This results in boosted chlorophyll content and an incredibly vibrant emerald color. The process of grinding the whole leaf into a super fine powder yields a higher concentration of nutrients and a stronger flavor profile.

Matcha tea is unique because the process of shading and harvesting increases the content of L-Theanine, an amino acid that helps balance the caffeine. While matcha may contain the same caffeine as other types of tea, the L-Theanine is known to create calmness without drowsiness. Another benefit to Matcha is the high concentration of antioxidants. In fact, this type of green tea contains over 60x the antioxidants of spinach and 7x the antioxidants of high quality dark chocolate. The process of shading the Matcha leaves creates an increased amount of Chlorophyll, which some preliminary research has shown may help the body eliminate heavy metals and other harmful buildup. The same antioxidants that make green tea protective may also help support skin health by reducing inflammation and free radicals that accelerate skin aging.

Medjool Dates
Medjool dates are often called the king of dates, due to their global availability, and are also the “soft” variety of dates, compared to semi-dry or dry varieties. The impressive benefits of medjool dates include their ability to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, improve bone-mineral density, protect cognition, and boost metabolism. Medjool dates also ensure proper hormone production, optimize digestion, and help with normal growth and development.

Wholesome Dairy Farms
Located in Douglasville, Wholesome Dairy Farms is the home of Mark Lopez and his breed of grass fed Ayrshire cows. They predominantly produce A2 milk and are breeded only following A2 guildelines. A2 Milk refers to the A2 type beta-casein proteins in the milk. Most cows produce milk with a mixture of A1 and A2 proteins. Milk from cows containing a higher content of A2 proteins can be easier to digest, which may prove beneficial for those who are lactose intolerant.

For your health, it is hard to overestimate the value of eating grass fed dairy products. When cows eat a grass based diet, it changes the fat profile in the milk. Grass fed cows have higher proportions of omega-3 fats in their milk. Grass fed dairy products have higher proportions of Conjugated Linoleic Acids, which are proven to be intensely anti-cancer, in that they have shown to prevent cancer and reduce the size of tumors in laboratory studies. Other laboratory findings about Conjugated Linoleic Acid demonstrate protection against Type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, and inflammation. If that were not good enough, Conjugated Linoleic Acid has also been shown to convert fat tissue to lean tissue. Don’t you want more Conjugated Linoleic Acids in your diet?
